Hi, I’m Patrick.

For the past 6 years I have worked with multiple startups and medium sized businesses, improving user experience across both web and mobile applications. I have been responsible for improving UX for core services and have experience working with agile development teams. I have implemented UX methodology in both short-term tactical and long-term strategic ways by driving alignment within teams, all the way from empathizing with users, defining features and system architectures through to delivery and testing.

Initially studying design at college and university, I hold a BA Hons degree in Graphic Communication and a National Diploma in Graphic Design. Since starting my career in 2018 my focus has almost solely been on digital and product design, with my last 3 roles being specifically UX centric.

My personal design philosophy is ‘fail fast, fail early, fail often’. In other words, UX design is not a perfect linear process but is actually a process of continuous iteration. My mindset is focusing on the area where business requirements and user requirements are interlinked, with the question being ‘how can we improve the user experience for the benefit of the business?’
